The Chronicles of Narnia
Wow! What a movie! I have never read the books but think I'll run out and get them! My oldest daughter is reading it now, other have indicated it was a school requirement for them...but I think I'll just read them for the fun of it. Kaitlin and I watched all of the Lord of the Rings movies, I enjoyed them but have to admit I didn't see all the spiritual stuff that allot of people said they saw. This movie knocks out all the props and reveals Christ in such a phenomenal way...I'll definately buy the movie. Perhaps what sticks out in my mind today is God's desire not only to save us, but to use us...He has made us kings and priests...I was reminded of the words of Jesus in the Revelation when He said to him who overcomes will I grant to sit down with Me in My throne even as I overcame and am sit down with My Father in His...He who has an ear let him hear! I'm entering in...

Man, Neil, it sounds like God is trying to get the church on the same page. That's what's been on my heart lately, and I blogged it. I'm reminded of Daniel 11:32, "The people who do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits". As we seek to know God more, it leads us to get off our butts and do more for Him. God bless.

Can we stay where we've always been when we know what we've never known or what we've always known? Everyone is praying for revival, wanting something super spectacular to happen and the truth is that it is happening we have to enter in and walk it out.
You can see that in Narnia, when the children meet the badgers they are told of ancient prophecies that someone would come and sit on the thrones and lead them into the great war that would basically establish the kingdom. We know that God has made us kings and priests, that we have been given dominion...so shouldn't behave in that manner? Peter finally realized that he had to assist Aslan and lead the armies, no formal training, he stepped into his destiny. Thousands of believers know who they are and what God has called them to be and do, but are waiting for one more prophetic word, for another evangelist to lay hands on them...I believe in all of that, but if I really know...do I really need it...or do I need to do what I already know and then the word to me and the impartation from the laying on of hands will be one of confirmation and addition to what is already there!

Sorry...I'm on a roll!

Some must enter in...

It is an AWESOME movie! I cried throughout several parts recognizing the symbolisms of the Word. I recommend taking your families as well as youth groups to see it. If need be, explain the symbolism. What a teaching as well as witnessing tool!
