And Then There Were Two...
Was I surprised last night at the results of American Idol or what? I had imagined that the results would come down to Jordan and Melinda, and though I am a huge Jordan fan, figured Melinda would probably win...and off she goes! Thrilled I am and determined that Jordan should win next week, we'll see, hope and pray for Ms. Sparks! My name is Neil Smith and I am an American Idol addict! I'm off for Chicago this afternoon, going to do a Hungry Pastor's Conference for the Church of God and preach for my friend Rick Sexton this weekend in Bourbonnais at the Church of God Worship Center. Looking forward to being back in my home state and seeing friends.

Definitely a bit shocked that Melinda has been voted out. Undoubtedly, she is fantastic with her vocals. My guess would be that the American audience did not see star-quality in her. The wow-factor was missing. Jordin is certainly being groomed by the producers of the show to carry the title home, but Blake is going to give her a solid run for her money. Probably he will steal the title from right under her nose. He is a fantastic entertainer packed with talent. He is certainly the most original performer in all the Idol season so far. No contestant has been able to grasp a song and make it his own the way Blake has done it so many times. Am sure he is going to perform a winner on the finale - only to be crowned the next Idol. Surely Jordin and Blake deserve to be where they are now.

Good thought! You've said what I've been saying, the wow factor has been missing the last couple of seasons. In my opinion no one has wanted it badly since Fantasia, see went for the gold!

Thanks for posting!

Well...I actually think Melinda has the best voice...but, I've said for several weeks now that it will come down to Blake & Jordan. Melinda will be just fine...I'm sure there are hungry producers ready to snatch her up in a heartbeat.
I really don't know who to 'pick' as the winner. Either one. They're both great, and will have contracts after this....
