Life's A Beach
Labor Day weekend...what a rush! My wife decided that we needed to go to the beach yesterday, it was a toss up between Busch Gardens, Ft. Desoto, and Howard Park in Tarpon Springs. Like most couples discussing where to go, it was the usual I don't know, I don't care, what do you want to do...we ended up in Ft. Desoto, voted one of the top beaches in 2005, a delightful, family oriented beach...it was great. Our girls swam, Kaitlin searched diligently and found sand dollars, which are now soaking in bleach water and will eventually be painted and end up as a Christmas gift for someone...my girls love to create and they love to give what they make away...they truly believe that someone wants what they make...I know that I do!
Laying in the Gulf of Mexico, getting some sun, enjoying my family, that's why you live in Florida! You can see the water for miles, it seems like it is endless, and I suppose that in reality it is.
I suppose there should be a spiritual lesson or truth revealed here, like God's love like the ocean is endless, that His creation is breath-taking, and it is...But today I just wanted to say that life is a beach, there's nothing quite like being on the water with those you love...I feel blessed, and a bit sun burned!

This is my third attempt to leave a comment on this. If it does not go this time, then I will give up.
I was trying to say that I am REALLY jealous dude. I'm freezing up here. We woke up to a temp of 56 this morning and now it is 66. If is so cold inside the house that I have been sitting here in a jacket all morning!

I switched my blog over to beta thinking " what the hay"

Can I join you on that beach ?
Come on down! It's getting really nice, hot in the day time around 80-90, and in the mid 70's at night and when you get up...nothing like it!
I am amazed at the fact that God knows how many grains of sand there is on that beach!
I may just take you up on that, Neil. That beach looks so inviting. The only time I was in Florida I was in 3rd grade, about 9 years old. We were on the Gulf side. I loved swimming in the ocean. We also did Busch Gardens, Disney World and Wet n' Wild waterpark. Did a little fishing in Alligator Creek where believe it or not, my brother hooked a crab. I have been trying to convince my wife that we need to visit Florida.
Dude, is that a pine tree? I expected to see a nice palm tree. That pine reminds me of beaching on Lake Huron, where I did my first wedding.
Palms, Pines, we've got them all! This is a great beach. We live about 25 minutes from Busch Gardens, have seasons passes. If you ever come down and want to go, we can get you some discount...let us know!
